Chip Seal Parking Lot
Tar and chip paving can be laid over an existing gravel parking lot as an affordable way to upgrade your parking area. If you want a unique look for your company’s parking lot, ask us about chip and seal and the different colors and various stone options! Chip and seal also provides better traction than asphalt pavement.

Tar and Chip Driveway
Tar and chip driveways give homeowners a chance to choose a unique finish that matches their house’s design by picking the stone of their choice to roll in the hot asphalt. It is an especially popular driveway material for long driveways as it is a cost-effective choice that provides better traction than a gravel driveway.
What makes tar & chip different from other paving options?
Chip seal is a low-cost alternative that is less expensive than paving asphalt driveways and parking lots. Unlike asphalt, it also doesn’t require yearly maintenance or seal coating. Instead, every 7 to 10 years a fresh chip seal layer is paved to keep the surface fresh. Because of this, it is not considered a long-lasting material. However, it is a durable surface that costs less than asphalt installation.
Caution should be used when clearing snow from a tar and chip driveway. The crushed stone in the top layer can be dislodged by a plow that is set too low. To avoid this, bumpers can be used to skim over the surface and clear the snow without damaging the top layer.
